Moving Day

The fat man is ready to roll.  We're moving out of New York City today, after 9 years for me and 12 for my wife.  It changed our lives and is one Hell of a town! But it's time for us to go start a new chapter.

Tree ID: Prunus serrulata 'Mt. Fuji'

 This is a Mount Fuji flowering cherry tree.  The sturdy white flowers hold up so well and give this tree a great look in spring.  In summer it makes for a perfect shade tree.  Definitely a cultivar you want to know about.

 The house where I am staying is surrounded by woods, mostly oak and American beech.  The moss carpets are so rich and colorful looking in the crisp spring light.  Nature, gotta love it.
