packaging genius?

Came across Biofeel this afternoon at our local grocery store. Great to photograph, as I am a total sucker for bizarre packaging, but I can't say I'm necessarily dying to try it. Hmm.

Krissy's new wheels

We realize moving back to the country that we are going to need a second car so my wife, proud daughter of a military man, was thrilled when we finally figured out her new set of wheels!

Every time we go east we pass this old M60 tank in Wainscott, NY, and after enough passes we knew we had to take a funny shot and see if we could get a chuckle out of Krissy's dad. Success.

Congrats to our friends Jackie and Tony on the latest addition to their family. We had a blast playing with little Seymour today. French bulldog puppies, their a cute thing...

Hector dog

For the second half of the month my folks offered to dog sit for a friend in the city. My mom was psyched, my father less so. But as with all things Feleppa, it was a pretty funny scene! This is Hector.

Come on Irene

With Irene making her way up the east coast the media once again has the masses freaking out. A category 1 storm we are in for some nasty rain and wind and flooding, no doubt, but enough that people have to wipe out the grocery store of damn near everything and plywood the holy hell out of their homes and businesses? Perhaps a bit of overkill. But just the same better safe than sorry, and I do agree with that. The small containers from out front are lining the stairs up to our apartment. The green Colocasia looks nice in the amber light and the herbs make the front foyer smell fabulous.

The big pots out front are tied and knotted together with heavy duty climbing rope to appease our adorable and nervous little ol' landlady. Doubt I'll be climbing any trees this weekend. The saws are cleaned and staged in the closet in case of emergency. We are keeping the vibe mellow in the face of such hysteria. Cleaning and filling water bottles for the fridge the reggae set is on shuffle and Errol Walker wails through the rain. "If you buy a house he wonders how. If you buy a car he must know why..." This is John Public!

This video was made in the Antwerp, Belgium Central (Train) Station on the 23rd of March 2009. With no warning to the passengers passing through the station, at 08:00am a recording of Julie Andrews singing 'Do, Re, Mi' begins to play on the public address system.
As the bemused passengers watch in amazement, some 200 dancers begin to appear from the crowd and station entrances.

They created this amazing stunt with just two rehearsals!

Top Christmas Video of the Day

Looking back over 2008, I realize one thing I'm thankful for is friendship. Via a new facebook addiction I've reunited with many old friends who I had been missing and thanks to a new job I've come to know a new crew of quick and witty folks I've quickly come to adore. One of the new crew is Stephen, a positive and determined soul who's job position and shoes I have stepped into. Stephen stopped by the garden today for a final visit before going back to California at the end of this week to continue his schooling in agriculture and horticulture. Good holiday cheer was had and then Stephen told us he wanted to show us the Christmas video he and his friend Josh made. This was by far the funniest thing I'd seen all week. Of course, it would help if you knew Stephen and Josh, I understand that, but, I still think you'll get a kick out of it. Enjoy.
