-commonly called bleeding heart (you can see why)
-perennial native to Japan, China, eastern Russia
-sun to dappled shade
-good moisture, organic rich soil
-2-3' tall and wide over time
-hardy is USDA Zones 6-9
-native alternative is Dicentra formosa, wild bleeding heart
